![]() ![]() He teaches 4th grade in the Amherst Central School District. Chris Teal Co-Director TNT Chris Teal is a co-owner/director of TNT and also does our set design and other technical work. Some of her past work and training includes: Certified Kindermusik Educator, NY State Certified Music Teacher, Orff Level 1 Certification, General Music Teacher K-6 Hilton and Niagara Wheatfield CSD, Vocal and Stage director for Lewiston Porter MS and HS Drama Program, Vocal Director for Academy of Theatre Arts in Williamsville, Theatre In The Mist Trustee, and Lecturer of Voice for Niagara County Community College. Throughout her career, Amy has taught music at all levels from early childhood (Kindermusik) to adult. She was honored to be nominated by a student and included in "Who's Who Among Americas Teachers" music honors edition, as a "teacher who made a difference". Amy believes in creating strong relationships with her students and in fostering mutual trust and respect. Amy's students have won contests, and placed in competitions such as, C lassical Singer Magazine's Competition, Golden Voices of America, where her student won first place and sang at Carnegie Hall, BPO Idol, with the late Marvin Hamlisch, The 10,000 Maniacs tour and NBC's The Voice. A passionate educator, Amy has taught voice class and private studio voice at Niagara University, and is on the voice faculty of Buffalo State College. Some of her favorite musical theatre roles include The Narrator, in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, for which she won a TANYS award for Excellence in Vocal Performance, Mary Magdalyn, in Jesus Christ Superstar, Jenny in Company, Gilmer in Godspell, Sister Amnesia and Sister Leo in Nunsense, and Julie Jordan in Carousel. A crossover artist, equally at home on the musical theatre stage, Amy has performed roles with Coop's Spotlight Productions, Artpark, Rocking Horse Productions, Niagara Regional Theatre Guild, Theatre in The Mist, and O'Connell & Company. Some of her operatic roles include Despina in Cosi Fan Tutte, Madame Warblewell in The Impresario, Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro, Gretel in Hansel and Gretel, Gianetta in The Elixir of Love, and Cunnegonde in Candide. Johnson Memorial Fund Concert Series, Opera Buffs Concert Series, and Buffalo Opera Unlimited. Teal has performed with The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera Lytes, Opera Sacra, Cheektowaga Symphony, Amherst Chamber Ensemble, Genesee Valley Orchestra and Chorus, Erwin H.
